Mark brings over three decades of experience in the Aspen, Snowmass, and Roaring Fork Valley real estate markets and helped build one of the region’s top agencies along the way. In early 2019, he accepted an invitation to join Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty, where he contributes unmatched expertise and a strong network of loyal clients—from longtime locals and ski-town enthusiasts to second homeowners and real estate investors. Families from around the world have engaged Mark for multiple transactions, even some outside of Colorado, and often refer him through multiple generations.
A Roaring Fork Valley resident for over 40 years, Mark has owned property in Aspen, Snowmass Village, and Carbondale, giving him deep insight into the area's diverse sub-markets. He consistently ranks among the top-producing brokers out of nearly 800 licensed realtors in the area. His success stems from strategic market knowledge, intuitive problem-solving, and an ability to "read the room"—paired with friendly but firm negotiation skills.

Mark leverages the Sotheby’s brand network through strong agent relationships and by participating in national real estate events, collaborating with colleagues in key feeder markets like Texas, Florida, New York, California, Arizona, the Midwest, etc.. In 2025, 2023, and 2021, Mark was named one of America’s Best and Top Real Estate Individuals in Colorado by REALTRENDS Verified. He’s also a multi-time honoree as Aspen’s Favorite Realtor in the Aspen Times’ “Best of Aspen” awards.
Widely known as “a broker’s broker,” Mark is a long-time member of the Aspen Board of Realtors (ABOR) and currently serves as its 2025 President. Additionally, in 2018 he was honored as “Realtor of the Year” by the Aspen Board of Realtors, a prestigious award recognizing his professionalism, service, and spirit that advances the dignity of the profession. Mark has chaired the Professional Standards Grievance Committee and serves as an Ombudsman for ABOR—roles reflecting his integrity and peer respect. He’s also a voting director for the Colorado Association of Realtors and an active member of the National Association of Realtors, where he contributes to and advocates for policy efforts supporting strong communities, consumer protections, and a healthy business environment.
Mark earned his Colorado Real Estate Brokers License in 1994 and along with his commitment to lifelong learning, he also holds additional industry designations including GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), and RSPS (Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist).

Born in Mankato, Minnesota, Mark brings Midwestern values to his real estate practice, offering clients a humble, down-to-earth approach. When not working with clients—many of whom become lifelong friends—he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, river running, and horseback riding in “the highest of peaks and the quietest, most scenic of places.” His greatest adventure, though, is time spent with his partner Chantal and being a proud super dad to his children, Cassandra in New York and Christian in Denver, as he watches them build their own independent lives
